Core Artists

Sarri Sanchez

SARRI SANCHEZ, co-founder and artistic co-director of IN/EX Dance Project, is a Los Angeles-based dancer, choreographer, and educator. She holds a BA in World Arts and Cultures - Dance from UCLA and is currently an MFA candidate in the Hollins University/American Dance Festival graduate program in Dance. Her work has been presented at the Freud Playhouse, Diavolo Dance Space, Highways Performance Space, El Camino College, and through the HU/ADF MFA program, at the Taubman Museum of Art (Roanoke, Virginia), Im_flieger/WUK (Vienna, Austria) and CCN-Ballet de Lorraine (Nancy, France). She has had the honor of performing with many distinguished artists and companies, including Maria Gillespie, Liz Hoefner, Mike Kelley, Laura Karlin’s Invertigo Dance Theatre, and as a founding member of Holly Johnston’s Ledges and Bones Dance Project. She also works as a dance advisor and co-director of the dance department at Renaissance Arts Academy in Los Angeles.

Ally Voye

ALLY VOYE, co-founder of IN/EX Dance Project, began her dance training in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Life Arts Center. She graduated from the World Arts and Cultures department at UCLA in 2005 where she studied extensively and performed with Maria Gillespie and Victoria Marks, among others. Her choreography and film work has been presented at the Freud Playhouse, American College Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow, Highways Performance Space, Anatomy Riot, UCLA’s Fowler Museum, UCLA’s Hothouse Choreography Residency, Pasadena Dance Festival, Victoria Reel Dance Film Festival, Kinetic Cinema – NYC, American Dance Festival, University of Utah and the UMOVE Online Videodance Festival. In addition producing, performing and choreographing locally, Ally Voye teaches dance at The Growing Place preschool, UCLA Krieger Childcare Center and the Crossroads School.

Eva Wilder

EVA WILDER, co-founder of IN/EX Dance Project, received a BA in World Arts and Cultures - Dance, with a minor in music history, from UCLA. Additionally, she studied at the School of Contemporary Dance in Oslo, Norway, and at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria. She is a member of Collage Dance Theatre and has also performed with Victoria Marks, Maria Gillespie, Helios Dance Theater, and Barak Marshall. Her work has been presented at Highways Performance Space, Anatomy Riot, Jacob's Pillow, and UCLA's Hothouse Choreography Residency. Eva Wilder is a Pilates trainer teaching in San Francisco.

Maya Zellman

MAYA ZELLMAN, co-founder of IN/EX Dance Project, graduated from UCLA's Department of World Arts and Cultures in 2005. She is very active in the dance and performance world. Maya teaches dance at Echo Horizon Elementary School and several studios around Los Angeles. She is involved in a few Los Angeles based dance companies including, Ballet Folklorico Do Brasil; VersaStyle and Contra-tiempo; she has had the privilege of touring nationally and internationally with these companies including performing in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Maya toured with John Tesh and appeared in his PBS Special "Music, Gospel, Dance". Maya was invited to teach to teach at the University of Curitiba, Brasil in 2006 and in Havana and Santiago de Cuba as a cultural exchange with Cuban dancers in October 2008.
